The Cosmic Tea: February 10-16

Y’all it’s about to get bananas up in here. There’s cosmic chaos early in the week leading up to the full moon. It has the potential to be revolutionary and I don’t know about y’all, but I’m ready to march with the way current events are playing out. Mercury will sweep us off our feet this Valentine’s Day when it moves into Pisces, but afterward we may find ourselves lost in the sauce. There wasn’t much else happening this weekend, so I tracked the transits of the moon in case anyone wants planetary assistance with planning their weekend.

Monday, February 10, 2025

Mid-day, at 1:27 P.M. CST, Mercury will form a tense relationship with Uranus. This feels like disruptive news for the collective, which feels like an everyday thing, I’m sure. We are oft exposed to a fire hose of disruptive information due to advancements in technology, which we can thank Uranus for. But because Uranus will be making this same formation with the full moon mid-week, this feels noteworthy. Like a linguist, Mercury interprets whatever planet it touches. And because it’s forming a square (which is a more challenging aspect) with the planet that rules disruption, the news isn’t looking great. The thing about squares though, is that they spring us into action, which is when reinvention is possible. Buckle up, because the two luminaries are about to make squares with Uranus, after today.

Tuesday, February 11, 2025

Post lunchtime, at 1:29 P.M., the Sun will square Uranus. This will prompt a sense of restlessness and a desire to be free of restriction. The sun in Aquarius has already shown us what systems aren’t working for us so when it goes up against Aquarius’ modern ruler in a square, we can expect upheaval of sorts. Uranus is in Taurus so I imagine it will have something to do with finances, money, and/or material things. Our resources. The ways in which we use our resources need to be innovated and the Sun in Aquarius will shine its bright light on this, giving us the wisdom we need to make it happen

Wednesday, February 12, 2025

Early morning, at 7:53 A.M. Full moon in Leo square Uranus. So now we throw the moon into the mix. The moon being the closest to us makes its relationships with other planets feel more personal. In theatrical Leo, the moon needs to be felt and heard. Leo is all about expression. When it forms a square with Uranus, we feel restless and impulsive, and the action we take may be dramatic. I’ll just say it: this screams protest, to me. A galvanization of the audience to re-invent the ways we use our resources. Uranus has been in Taurus since 2018 and it has shown us that we are misusing our resources financially and environmentally, the sun has helped us to pin point a source, and now the moon will awaken us with its mighty roar to spring us into action.

Thursday, February 13, 2025

The moon will be in Virgo, potentially invigorating us with some productive energy. This could create some nervous tension in people with strong Sagittarius and Pisces placements in their natal chart. I recommend some busy work to remedy that tension. This energy is great for organizing, cleaning, repairs, or writing.

Friday, February 14, 2025

Early morning on Valentine’s Day is sure to be a dreamy one. At 6:07 A.M., Mercury enters Pisces. Mercury isn’t at its best, here. It’s a planet that rules information and communication. Details are important to Mercury. Ask Virgo. But Pisces is less concerned with details and more so with the visualization of the information which can be vague. It may want to spare our feelings and give only harmless parts of the truth. So this transit may feel a bit deceptive and/or incomplete. On the bright side, Mercury tends to be more poetic, here. So it’s appropriate that this transition happens on the day we all exchange sweet nothings. Mercury will be here until March 3rd. However, it will return when it retrogrades back into Pisces on March 29th. As someone with Virgo placements, I’m not excited about a retrograde Mercury in Pisces. People with strong water placements (Pisces, Scorpio, and Cancer) as well as Taurus and Capricorn placements in their natal chart, will have a better time navigating mercury in Pisces. People with fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and air (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) placements or people with natal planets in Virgo may struggle. It’ll be important to ask for clarification and be more patient when others don’t understand us.

Saturday, February 15, 2025

At 10:45 A.M. the moon in Libra will form a harmonious relationship with Pluto. Here, we can get in touch with deep feelings and use them to empower us. Practically speaking, this energy is great for cleaning out closets and drawers and getting rid of what we don’t need. At 8:19 P.M. it will oppose Venus in Aries. Here, is an ideal time for window shopping and social gatherings. Perfect for a Saturday night. Because Venus is in Aries, there could be a minor upset but luckily the Moon in Libra is a good mediator. Try to understand their perspective and challenge yourself to find common ground. That is the path to peace.

Sunday, February 16, 2025

At 4:36 P.M., The moon will form a tense relationship with Mars. Action will be emotionally driven as Mars is in the sign that the Moon rules; Cancer. Expect annoyances and frustration. Nothing earth-shattering just minor grievances. The moon in Libra allows us to understand another’s perspective more easily. Use that, think happy thoughts, and move on. It probably isn’t worth making a huge mess of. It’ll pass in an hour or two.

The Cosmic Tea is a general temperature check of the cosmos for the week. Some of these planetary movements may be felt personally or they may go unnoticed. Each of us has a unique astrological make up designed by the cosmos at our time of birth. Some of us may have planets in our birth chart that ease the more challenging aspects in the sky, currently or they may exacerbate them. Some may experience planetary shenanigans in their home life and others will experience the same energies in their career. All this to say, if you want to know how all of this may show up for you personally and what planetary defenses you have in your arsenal, I can certainly be of assistance. Just book a Transit Reading with me, below and we can decipher all the planetary shenanigans and how they might manifest for you!

The Cosmic Tea: February 3-9

Howdy, friends! This week is book-ended with some exciting astrology. Venus starts her pre-retrograde bad girl era, Jupiter stations direct, and we get our Aquarian moment of clarity that could help to galvanize us. The tea is starting to bubble this week and I can’t wait to see how this turns out!

Monday, February 3rd 2025

At 3:51 P.M. CST It looks like there will be good news today, because Mercury the messenger in Aquarius will be in harmony with Jupiter in Gemini. Jupiter is the planet of good fortune, luck, and optimism. In Gemini, the sign with all the gossip, it’s in a position to help. It’s also worth noting that Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini adding an extra layer of potency to this planetary relationship. This is also a good time to make a big announcement.

Later in the evening at 8:43 P.M. Mars in Cancer will square up with Chiron in Aries creating some tension between the two planets. It feels like Chiron is bullying Mars, who is still struggling to take action in this sensitive water sign AND is also retrograde, while Chiron is in the sign that rules Mars. On Earth this can show up as a disagreement or frustration that could open up an old wound. Just remember to be gentle with yourself and others.

Tuesday, February 4th 2025

What better way to start a Tuesday, than some fresh planetary energy? At 1:57 A.M. Venus moves into Aries. Venus unfortunately, loses a bit of her charm in this sign. Venus is all about connection and harmony while Aries is the sign of confrontation. It’s like if the most popular person in school started hanging out with the grunge kids. She’s edgy, now. We can expect our encounters to be more bold, courageous, and unconcerned with consequence. THEN, at 3:40 A.M. Jupiter stations direct. This may re-invigorate our sense of optimism and enthusiasm unless there is a strong Virgo or Pisces placement in our chart, in which case the newly direct planet may go unnoticed.

Friday, February 7th 2025

Happy Friday! Now that Venus has changed signs, she will have different interactions with the other planets. First on the guest list is Pluto where at 6:14 A.M. the two will inspire one another creating an atmosphere that allows us the bravery to get deep with whomever we connect with. As a result we can expect our encounters this day to be transformative in some way. This is also a good placement to reconnect with someone with you’ve maybe had conflict with and get to the root of the ugliness that the conflict may have been rooted in. When we understand a problem on a subterranean level, we become empowered to deal with it accordingly. In this aspect we can harness the bad girl charm of Venus with the magnetism of Pluto helping us to attain the things we desire more easily. It is wise to maintain a cautious optimism with new people you meet today because Pluto is involved, there may be something dark lurking under the surface.

Saturday, February 8th 2025

At 12:22 A.M. The Sun makes a helpful aspect to Chiron. Now that the Sun is in the detached Aquarius, we can look at Chiron from a clinical vantage point. This will give us a better understanding of our wounds and/or how we heal others. In case the insight isn’t clear or if you’re asleep like I will be, later that day at 1:20 P.M. Mercury will interpret Chiron’s message to reiterate via a conversation or random thought so be mindful of what shows up.

Sunday, February 9th 2025

Early in the morning at 6:07 A.M. the Sun and Mercury will merge together in what’s called a cazimi. Cazimi comes from an Arabic word that means “as if in the heart.” This happens when a planet forms a conjunction with the sun. The said planet goes “into the heart” of the sun, infusing it with vivacious solar energy. Cazimis are said to bring clarity, truth, and an empowered perception. With this happening in Aquarius, I believe it will show us how we can show up radically and revolutionize the parts of our lives where we tend to be more Aquarian (the house in your natal chart that Aquarius rules). Shortly after at 7:14 A.M. we are gifted with a harmonious aspect between the more challenging planets: Mars and Saturn. This is great energy for mapping out mid-to-long term goals. Saturn in Pisces has shown us how to take our dreams and put them into containers (almost like a fish tank) and Mars in Cancer knows how to navigate said container (like a crab in a fish tank.) Mars will be retrograde until February 23rd, so I wouldn’t launch any plans into action just yet, but now is the perfect time for incubation.

The Cosmic Tea: January 27-February 2

It’s the week of the Lunar New Year! I personally want to take this opportunity to reboot this year, already. This week has a potentially challenging beginning, but the new moon mid-week promises us something grand and we begin Black History Month with the sweet balm of Pisces energy.

Monday, January 27th 2025

We start the week strong with the moon in Capricorn. This is good energy for Monday. Capricorn is productive, systematic, and efficient. If you didn’t make your to-do list yesterday, today’s the day to make it. While productive energy is great, the moon struggles in this sign. The moon wants to care and nurture while Capricorn’s main objective is to to provide and discipline. these are opposing energies and can be remedied by awareness. Being stern with yourself is not self care. So if you do have a tough day today, you can ask yourself “Am I being too hard on myself and/or others?” and re-calibrate accordingly.

Tuesday, January 28th 2025

Mercury in Aquarius will merge energies in a conjunction with Pluto in Aquarius. The messenger and the dark lord coming together can bring forth powerful conversations, deep thoughts, and difficult news. When Mercury is in conjunction with any planet, the insights of that planet are interpreted by Mercury, helping us understand more clearly the lesson(s) it offers us. Pluto is all about power and Mercury acts as a megaphone. Collectively, I think we will clarify our understanding of the inner-workings of the powers that be and become aware of how those forces may be working nefariously against us.

Wednesday, January 29th 2025

Happy Lunar New Year! There will be a new moon in Aquarius today, giving us the opportunity to set intentions and infuse them with Aquarian energy. How can we incorporate the themes of Aquarius into our lives? Where can we benefit from friendship, eccentricity, disruption, detachment, and innovation? This new moon is sitting awfully close to Pluto, so I believe it will influence the things we may want to see come into fruition. How can we wield our collective power against the face of oppression and the dark forces in our lives?

Thursday, January 30th 2025

The sun will be in harmony with Jupiter in Gemini. This looks promising for us! I’m seeing good news, here. Jupiter is a helpful planet. It’s all about abundance, growth, expansion, and luck. The aspect happening so close to the new moon infuses our intentions with a sense of optimism which is the perfect fertilizer for our hopes and dreams. It says, “Go big with those new moon intentions. Only good will come of it, so what have you got to lose?”

Saturday, February 1st 2025

An exalted Venus in Pisces will merge with Neptune whose feeling cozy in its home sign of Pisces. Connection, beauty, and art come together with escapism and spirituality. This is delicious medicine for all of the Plutonian ugliness we have endured the past couple of weeks. Venus is super-powered when in Pisces, donning a pair of rose-colored glasses in which it views everything romantically and with compassion. Venus in Pisces merged with Neptune helps us to see the good in any and everything and understands the interconnection shared by all living things, making connection much sweeter.

Sunday, February 2nd 2025

The moon is in Aries! Beware impulsive action and the need to start a fight. Its a great day to get your body moving and do the thing you have been putting off. Aries energy is about taking action here and now. It propels us forward, head-first and with little regard for anything but the big prize. Be brave and be bold, but also remember to be kind.

The Cosmic tea: January 20-26

Happy Aquarius season! It is the dawning of a new era for us as the Sun forms a conjunction with Pluto the god of the underworld. Meaning a bright shining light will be shed on some of the more darker aspects of the human experience. Every year, as Pluto goes deeper and deeper into Aquarius the sun will illuminate its lessons on the underbelly of revolution, eccentricity, and humanitarianism. Pluto is only in the beginning of the Aquarius experience, so its story is still in exposition mode. So far, we have seen advancements and in A.I. that leave us to question it’s place in society, several genocides taking place across the globe, and fascists rise to power. But the beautiful thing about Aquarius is that it abandons the idea of relying on a savior to come and fix everything and it reminds us of the power of the collective to make real, lasting change happen. My hope is that as Pluto travels deeper into Aquarius, we will tap into our collective power and work together for the greater good. This week’s astrology really highlights how magical the power of connection can be on a small scale and invites us to imagine how we can magnify that power to save our collective souls.

Monday, January 20th 2025

The moon is in Libra and the general mood of the day is cooperative unless you have strong Capricorn, Cancer, or Aries placements. These placements can conflict with the mood of Libra moon causing one to feel argumentative. The moon is also forming a strong opposition to Chiron in Aries, the wounded healer, meaning that some old wounds might come up today. These wounds may be brought up or triggered in conversation as the moon will be leaving its tense relationship with Mercury the planet of communication. Awareness is key. If you can identify and name the wound, you can tend to it.

Mercury in Capricorn will be teaming up with Venus in a beautiful collaboration. Conversations over the next three days may bear the fruits of connection and collaboration so keep an open mind. Mercury is also in a tense relationship with Chiron, which as I mentioned earlier, can trigger old wounds to be tended.

Tuesday, January 22 2025

At 2:31 p.m. CST the Moon will move into Scorpio, creating an atmosphere of angst and brooding. You may find yourself feeling especially tender after Chiron’s shenanigans yesterday. Here, the moon forms a tense relationship with Pluto, creating some resistance to any seedlings of inner transformation that have been sown.

The sun, having just moved into Aquarius will blend its energies with the god of the underworld, Pluto. This planetary formation known as a conjunction, can trigger shifts in our identity and a desire for personal inner transformation and will last until 1/28 and will be especially prominent with people who have strong Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, and Taurus placements.

Mars, still in its retrograde in Cancer, will team up with Uranus in Taurus to help inspire new ways of taking action. With Mars having been retrograde in Cancer since 12/6/24, we may have been feeling stuck and/or frustrated. This Uranian collaboration might bring us a Eureka!! moment with fresh ideas that might help us with ideas to get unstuck and ease our frustration. So be sure to write down any brilliant ideas that come to mind to revisit once Mars leaves it’s retrograde on 2/23/25

Thursday January 23 2025

Before the moon leaves Scorpio at 10:26 pm CST, she will be quite busy today, making this an emotionally active day for us. She will help us ease any frustrations felt by retrograding Mars, hopefully in a healthy manner. There is a similar influence from Neptune in Pisces, the master of escapism so we could be called to escape in our creativity or spirituality. But the moon in Scorpio is notorious for processing emotions in a self-destructive way, so just be mindful of any impulses to self-soothe using unhealthy mechanisms such as substance abuse and delusion. But Scorpio is also a strategist, placing the moon in an opposition to Uranus, helping us to plan how we can execute any brilliant ideas that may have come up this week. This will feel abrupt and disruptive but with a little awareness we can channel the energy productively.

Mercury in Capricorn will also be especially busy. In addition to the previously aforementioned connections with Chiron and Venus, Mercury will also oppose Mars in Cancer, meaning tense conversations this day may help to illuminate how you might be feeling stuck in a rut with a little reality check which Mercury in Capricorn is famous for. Mercury will be in harmony with Uranus creating an ease in processing any brilliant ideas that may be triggered by the Mars-Uranus collaboration I mentioned earlier, which will still be prominent on this day

Saturday January 25 2025

The moon will have moved into Sagittarius the day before, appropriately conditioning us for the weekend. The moon in Sagittarius loves to have a good time, is carefree, and seeks adventure.

Venus in Pisces will be in harmonius dialogue with a retrograding Mars in Cancer, meaning our closest connections will help us ease our frustrations and we will feel less helpless. Connection will be our balm this weekend to soothe the re-opened wounds from earlier in the week.

Sunday January 26 2025

At 7:38 a.m. CST, the moon will move into Capricorn, beginning our day with a sense of responsibility.

Venus will collab with Uranus meaning our connections will provide us inspiration and a sense of freedom. Mercury teams up with Neptune, giving us the opportunity to ruminate on and conversate about our dreams. Get together with those closest to you and share your hopes for the future and you may find that a seed of ingenuity may be planted.

Others may experience planetary shenanigans in certain parts of their life (home, career, relationships, etc) than others who will experience the energies in different realms. For example, I am experiencing the Mars retrograde in my 6th house of work and health. I have experienced setbacks in my every day work as a server with rude customers and scheduling issues. Also many health complications have come up such as illnesses, lack of energy, and strange body rashes. Someone who has Cancer ruling their 7th house of partnerships, may experience conflict in their close relationships (partners, besties, etc) as a result of Mars’ retrograde through Cancer. All this to say, if you want to know how all of this may show up for you personally, I can certainly be of assistance. Just book a Transit Reading with me and we can decipher all the planetary shenanigans and how they might manifest for you!

The Cosmic Tea: February 12-18

Innovation and deviation from the norm are prominent themes in the cosmos this week. Both the warrior and the lover planets shift their energy to join the Sun, Mercury, and Pluto in putting the collective on the path paved by Aquarian ideals of freedom, independence, individuality, and humanitarianism. Last week was a time for new beginnings and setting intentions. This week is all about connection, pleasure, desire, and liberation. Let’s get into it, shall we?

On Tuesday at 12:05 A.M. CST, Mars leaves it’s exalted place in Capricorn and will occupy the sign of Aquarius. When the warrior planet of action occupies the revolutionary innovator Aquarius, it ignites a collective passion for innovation and progress. Under this dynamic influence, we're driven to break free from conventions, championing unique ideas and embracing change. Expect sparks of creativity, fueled by a desire to revolutionize systems and pursue humanitarian causes. Individuality reigns supreme as we navigate this electric energy, daring to challenge the status quo and forge new paths toward a brighter future. This transit is perfect for my activists who want to initiate any humanitarian projects over the next few weeks.

On Tuesday at 7:32 A.M. CST, Venus in Capricorn will make a sextile with Neptune in Pisces. If you can afford a day of leisure, this aspect is perfect for just that. Indulge in Venusian delights and do so intentionally, looking for inspiration. Think pleasure and connection. Some ideas: relaxing and watching TV, movies, or any other visual media (very Neptunian), snacking unapologetically, hanging with friends, hanging with your lover(s), visit an art museum, or even make art of some kind. Ask yourself “What would a Taurus or a Libra do?” and do that thing. Inspiration is yours to find if you seek it. Mars will meet Pluto in a conjunction, giving us the bravery to go deep to confront our demons or motivate us to challenge the power structures at play in all our lives. Should conflict arise, expect it to be a little tenderizing but transformative, nonetheless .

Right on time for the weekend, on Friday at 10:05 A.M. CST, Venus will join the party in Aquarius and bring a refreshing breeze of freedom and individuality to our relationships and values. During this transit, we're drawn to unconventional connections and seek intellectual stimulation. Friendship and camaraderie take precedence as we prioritize authenticity and shared ideals in our interactions. Venus in Aquarius encourages us to appreciate the beauty in our differences and forge connections based on mutual respect, understanding, and social boundaries. Then at 9:52 P.M. CST, Mercury will square Uranus. This transit could inspire disruptive speech and/or thought. If conversations get prickly, challenge yourself to find the inspiration in what is being said. Detaching and taking a more clinical perspective with your thoughts and conversations, can help you override the emotions that may surface, allowing clarity and understanding.

Saturday at 2:48 A.M. CST, Venus will merge with Pluto in it’s 5th and final conjunction this year. This transit is great for deepening connections, dissecting our own set of values, or creating art that penetrates the soul. This transit could also intensify our need for connection, beauty, and harmony, causing an Aquarian-level hyper-focus that flirts with obsession. Relationship issues will be more prominent as Pluto has a tendency to bring issues of power to the surface and an Aquarian Venus is quick to create a social boundary and correct any injustices that we may have previously turned a blind eye to.

Finally, on Sunday evening at 10:13 P.M. CST our glorious Sun will move into dreamy, compassionate Pisces. The Sun's transit through Pisces invites us to dive deep into the ocean of our subconscious, where dreams, intuition, and spiritual insights flow freely. We're encouraged to embrace our compassion, empathy, and creativity, allowing our imaginations to soar beyond the confines of reality. Pisces, the sign of universal love and boundless empathy, invites us to dissolve boundaries and connect with the divine essence that unites us all. Under this mystical influence, let us surrender to the ebb and flow of life, trusting in the wisdom of our inner guidance and the infinite possibilities that await us.

Please bear in mind that this is a general forecast and the transits listed may only be felt/noticed by those whose natal planets form aspects to the transiting planets in the sky. Planetary Energy manifests itself in different sectors of our lives based on where our rising sign is. If you’re curious to know where this energy will show up for you, or if you want to know if you have any natal aspects to this weeks transiting planets, feel free to click the link below and book a transit reading! Otherwise, we’ll see you next week for some more Cosmic Tea
